Content:

In the "Visual Analytics Praktikum" current research and problems from the field of visual analytics are used as a basis for the practical application of information visualization. The topics include the areas of visual design, integration of machine learning in visualization, design of algorithms, interaction, evaluation of visualization techniques and their application. The aim of the praktikum is to gain experience with practical applications and programming experience on a scientific basis including: Understanding and independent application of advanced, specialized methods in the field of visual analytics, analysing real issues and challenges in the field of visual analytics, collecting and analysing data using quantitative and qualitative methods on selected scientific issues, and presenting and defending (independently developed) solutions to problems.
